Topic

A multidisciplinary approach to implant dentistry as a key to manage complex cases

Abstract

Treatment of complex cases, where multiple clinical problems need to be faced, can be demanding if a comprehensive treatment plan is not performed. In particular, orthodontic procedures are sometimes necessary in order to create conditions for correct implant placement. Digital design of the smile and previsualization techniques can also be important to motivate patients for treatment. Finally, ceramic minimally invasive bonded restorations and perioplastic procedures can be applied to adjacent teeth in order to achieve a better integration of the prosthetic reconstruction. Multidisciplinary treatment strategies will be presented in this lecture to highlight the importance of combining different clinical procedures to achieve an improved result. The lecture will include step by step clinical presentation of different cases and HD videos of the main surgical and prosthetic procedures.
